The story
In his last years Remington taught himself to paint the night, working in moody greens and blues. This late nocturne is one of the quiet, haunting pictures critics now rank as his best.
About the photographer
1861–1909
Remington spent a short stretch on a Kansas ranch, then made the action pictures magazines wanted of the West. The late nocturnes are the quieter ones.

The size you order is the photograph. A framed print adds a 2.5 inch mat and the moulding, so the outside is larger than the print. Canvas is the face size, with a 1.5 inch edge that does not add to the front.
