Image sources.

Images are public-domain works from the Library of Congress, National Archives, NASA and museum open-access collections. No agency or institution endorses Just Great Moments.

Titles do not use an agency insignia or a building’s trademark. The photograph is the historical image. The frame, the plate, and the words around it are ours.

President and astronaut portraits are capped from the native file. A framed print stops at 200 pixels per inch. Canvas and metal stop at 150. A vinyl mural stops at 72. A file that cannot honestly make the smallest size, or whose rights are unclear, is left out.
