The story

Shot in February 1973 for the EPA's Documerica project, which hired top photographers to record America's environment. Luquillo's palm-lined crescent was already called Puerto Rico's most beautiful beach.

About the photographer

1972–1977

Documerica was the Environmental Protection Agency’s photograph of ordinary American places. Luquillo Beach, 1973, is one frame from that file, now at the National Archives.

Size guide

The size you order is the photograph. A framed print adds a 2.5 inch mat and the moulding, so the outside is larger than the print. Canvas is the face size, with a 1.5 inch edge that does not add to the front.
